We built a way to practise phraseology, so that when we go flying we are not afraid to press the PTT.
You hear an instruction from ATC
For example, a taxi clearance or a frequency change. Then you choose how you would reply.
You reply with your voice
Hold the button and read back just as you would in flight. The app checks your readback item by item: callsign, runway, frequency or QNH, depending on what ATC said.
You see what you have mastered
At the end of the lesson you get your result by topic, such as taxi or frequencies, so you know what you have under control and what is worth a little more practice.
A daily review made for you
Every day, on the home screen, KoAir gives you five exercises on what you most need to work on, so what you learn in the lessons sticks.
For pilots in training and pilots getting back into flying
If you are on a microlight or PPL course, you can practise the radio before your flying lessons. If you already hold a licence and have not flown for a while, it helps you get your phraseology back.

How much time do I need each day?+
Each lesson takes about five minutes. You can do one a day or several in a row; the daily review adds five more cards.
Do I have to speak out loud?+
Only in the voice exercises, where you hold the button and read back as you would in flight. In the others you listen and choose the answer, with no microphone needed.
Which languages is it in?+
The app is in English and Spanish. In the settings you choose how much of the exercises you want to do in English.
How much does it cost?+
The first three days are free. After that it costs €29.99 a month. You cancel from the store where you subscribed, or from your account if you signed up on the web.
